I have enjoyed weight training for a couple of years now, following a few different programs but with little confidence in what I have been doing. After a few years of a relaxed diet, a bit too much alcohol and minimal exercise travelling around the world, I returned home and decided I wanted to change my lifestyle around. I was definitely a ‘cardio queen’ previously, I did a lot of high intensity cardio/plyometric based training but was certainly a beginner in weight training. 1 year down the line (in the picture above) and one bikini competition in the bag, and I feel and look the best I ever had. I now eat a balanced diet full of nourishing foods, I still have treats a couple of times a week, I still have a social life, I trained in the man zone 5 days a week, with the minimal cardio I can get away with; and I loved it. *

Lynsey

From being an active dancer as a teenager I had a bit of a shock when weight started creeping on as a young adult when I stopped being so active and took no regard for my diet. I over drank, ate convenience foods in excess and rarely exercised. After deciding I needed to change, I took to weight training 5 days a week and added in some steady state cardio 4 days a week depending on my work schedule. I scrapped convenience meals for home cooked lean meals and lost over 3 stone in a year, but most importantly felt the healthiest I ever had. *

I joined Your Contour in January 2017 to get myself ready for my first ever bikini competition in April. Before I heard about Your Contour, I’d just been listening to other people’s advice on diets and not really having much knowledge of how to work on each muscle group. I started gaining a lot more body fat than I wanted and not seeing a huge difference in shape. These photos are just 7 weeks and I can see a massive difference. When I first started as a Your Contour client I was intimidated by the weight zone, I found training really hard and was scared of lifting heavy as I didn’t want to get bulky. After a lot of reassurance I perceived, I now weight train 3 times a week plus 2-3 runs a week. The biggest change has been my mind set, I have finally cracked the ‘diet’, and I enjoy eating more wholesome, nutrient rich meals. I ate relatively clean and I trained 5/6 times a week, so I couldn’t understand why I wasn’t seeing the progression I was working so hard for. Although I was reasonably slim, I found as I got older I was losing the battle of the dreaded “muffin tops” and my self esteem was pretty low. Joining the gym and finding Your Contour has changed everything. They gave me the confidence and encouragement and I soon became motivated to do more. I found for me consistency was key. I try to stay away from the scales as I am definitely leaner with improved muscle tone and the typical female belly fat is history! I have been following the Your Contour online coaching tailored plan for around 7 weeks and I absolutely love the plans. They are varied every week and I can honestly say I look forward to each workout as they are always new and exciting. Having suffered with IBS for several years and having tried every fad diet going I was initially worried about the amount of meals I would be eating…. how could I possibly lose weight by eating all this food? I was quickly proven wrong and I have also noticed a huge improvement with by IBS symptoms and the reduction of cellulite. Being a busy city girl living in the heart of London I have always found it hard to stick to a ‘diet’, as I have client drinks/ meals after work weekly. I purchased Your Contours ’12 week Summer Body plan’ 3 weeks ago and am already noticing a difference in my lifestyle as a whole. I am making more health conscious decisions when having morning and afternoon snacks, before Your Contour I had no idea what to have as a snack so would choose ‘healthy’ crisps or snack bars which I now realise are full of rubbish.
